Teaching
J.-Sébastien enseigne l’évolution des espèces (stégocéphales notamment) et la diffusion des connaissances dans divers établissements en France et à l’étranger (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Lyon, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie de Nancy, Université des Sciences et techniques de Lisbonne, UPMC, MNHN, Université de Montpellier, Universités Populaires de Pont-Saint-Esprit, de Franche-Comté ou d’ailleurs).
Presentation
A quoi ressemblait la Terre avant les dinosaures ? Comment la grande extinction Permien-Trias a-t-elle impactée l’évolution des espèces ? Pour répondre, J.-Sébastien parcoure le monde à la recherche de fossiles, stégocéphales notamment. Ses recherches ont été récompensées par plusieurs prix (Palaeontological Association, Société Géologique de France, Comité National Français de Géologie, Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche) et ses nombreux livres (ex. La Terre avant les dinosaures, Exquise Planète, Les Mondes Perdus) traduits dans plusieurs langues et salués par la critique (La Science se livre, le Goût des sciences).
