Mes travaux visent à mieux comprendre la structure de l’évolution morphologique dans le temps long en prenant pour modèle la diversification des mammifères placentaires endémiques d’Amérique du Sud au Cénozoïque. Mes études sur ces aspects se divisent en trois axes principaux :
-
l’étude de la structuration de variations morphologiques singulières, à différents niveaux hiérarchiques (ex : ontogénétique, interspécifique)
-
l’étude de liens potentiels entre ces patrons de variation morphologique et des attributs fonctionnels
-
la recherche du signal phylogénétique et l’amélioration des données morphologiques utilisables à cet effet.
